About Me

I teach high school science (physics and chemistry) in Chicago. I embarked on my teaching career in Fall 2013, and I’ve gotten here in a bit of a roundabout way (chemical engineering undergrad, started a chemE PhD program but left after the master’s degree, worked for a few years as a scientific editor, finally went back to school for education). This is a space for me to process my thoughts on what’s going on both in my classroom and in education in general.

Any views expressed on this blog are my own, and any interpretation of others’ works are also my own. That being said, please feel free to engage with me in a conversation about anything posted here, as I’m still figuring out how to use this space.

Thanks for reading,
Heidi
